Green Girl Produce is now hiring for two positions! We are looking for fresh faces to work closely with our even fresher produce.
If you have a passion for environmental sustainability and urban farming, good eats and eating local, health and nutrition, learning and getting your hands dirty, then we would love to meet you for these positions! Both of these positions are part time (20 hours/week) but can potentially develop into something more as we expand the company. Grow Master: This position revolves around the management of our vertical hydroponic system and all factors relating to the growing and harvesting of our microgreens. Responsibilities include observing and recording plant yields and overall plant health, determining optimal sprouting, sowing and harvesting schedules designed to meet the current demand of our customers, maintaining a clean and sanitized environment, and ensuring optimum irrigation performance. This is a physically demanding job that requires heavy lifting and coordination, so be prepared and ready to get your hands dirty!
Farm Liaison: The position of Green Girl Produce’s Farm Liaison includes duties relating to the packaging, delivery, and sale of our microgreens. Responsibilities include mixing product, packaging product, managing online inventory lists, maintaining a clean and sanitized environment, tracking waste and other record keeping duties, delivering product to customers 3 times/week, and customer relations. The Farm Liaison is both on and off the farm. Not only will you be creating an artisanal product with pride, but you will be delivering and presenting this product to customers. This position requires attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, a friendly disposition, and a driver’s license!
